Past Life Therapy is based on the premise of reincarnation, or the continuing cycle of life, death and rebirth. Whilst we have to consider that another mechanism entirely is at work here, whatever that mechanism may be, (if indeed it exists) it does not appear to detract from the effectiveness of Past Life Therapy.

Have you ever had the feeling that you have experienced something before or met someone previously, when you know that it is not so? You will probably be aware that this is an experience known as déjà vu. Do you wonder why some individuals are naturally gifted in a particular way, finding certain arts, crafts and skills easy when most of us would take a life time to master them? Do you sometimes have particularly strong likes and dislikes of things, people, places or situations, without any logical or rational explanation for such feelings?  If you can answer yes to any of these questions, or recognise any of the situations I have described then the concept of past lives and Past Life Therapy may be of interest to you.

There are certain schools of thought that argue past lives reported are no more than the result of ‘crytomnesia’ namely, that a past life ‘story’ is created by the client who builds this story on knowledge they already hold but have forgotten. A large amount of research has been carried out in this area, and when that research is considered together with the nature of the recalled information about previous lives, it would appear that it does not offer a complete explanation.

Much publicity is given to those convinced they have lived as some great character from history, but the majority of past lives are of what might be described as ordinary but nevertheless very interesting people, and clients are invariably able to connect those events with experiences in their present life, and make more sense of them. If this is how you feel one session may be all that is needed to provide you with an interesting journey into the past.

Even so there are clients who find the process so interesting they return after a period of time to repeat the experience. If you wish to experience Past Life Therapy purely because you have an interest in exploring a previous life or lives, as part of your own personal and spiritual development, and have no specific issue you feel you need treatment for, a single past life session may well fulfil your requirement. However, it is possible that in experiencing a Past Life session you may wish to attend further to explore in more depth what might be described as your ancient past. If you are seeking Past Life Therapy to deal with a problem you feel it is relevant for, in order to identify and deal with the issue at hand, it can take more than one session. However, each person is unique and a single session can often be sufficient for your needs.  In any event the choice is yours as to how many sessions to attend.  I do not book clients for a ‘course’ of Past Life Therapy Sessions. You are free to attend for one session – or more if that is your wish.

Past Life Therapy is completed using a gentle process of Hypnotherapy, which helps you to achieve a sufficiently relaxed state of being to access memories that are buried so deeply they are inaccessible in usual everyday situations in your life. It is a non intrusive process which simply requires you to lie back and relax while your therapist gently helps you to reach a level of relaxation known as hypnosis. You are in control at all times and can be totally aware of what is going on around you, and it is for this reason that clients who experience hypnosis for the first time sometimes believe they have not experienced hypnosis at all.
